We had a great rollup for our first working bee back at cockpit for a while. We started on C2 which is the area we first worked in and got it all whippersnipped, trees weeded and lawn mowed.

Thankyou to all the helpers - Jimbo on his mower; Joel, George, Rosco & Dick all on whippersnippers; Marg, Emily, Kath, Cass, Lily,  Ben & Lou who weeded & tidied up. The kids had a ball in the creek as we worked - Brianna, Ada, Brandon, Ella.

It is amazing but in the time period of 18 months or so since we worked in Cockpit last; we have lost very few trees that we planted - I would estimate only about 12 in total. Some trees planted are a worse for wear from the cattle that have got in from time to time giving them a chomp but they will struggle less how they are grass free and we will fertilize them and give them more care and they soon improve again.

We are aiming for working bees every second Saturday 2-4.30pm. Helpers are always very welcome and we will give you a delicous afternoon tea to end off with before we go. Enquiries to Joel

Thankyou to Joel Christian who took over from me being President for such a long time and who has got everyone enthused again.

Heres some pics of today

 Have a great weekend

Norfolk Landcare Group have been very disheartened by the Norfolk Island Governments lack of any environment focus and priority. We have considered closing down. We have decided instead to have a reshuffle and get a new President to drive us forward....
